Government as a Platform (GaaP) is the right thought and execution model for a Digital Government:
- GaaP is not just about technology – it is shift in mind-set, culture, and organization – it is also a change in how the government’s relationship changes from simply a doer to more of an enabler and an orchestrator.
- GaaP is about digital transformation of a government, whereas digital platforms are the vehicle through which governments use/develop technologies as part of the digital transformation strategy.
- Governments need a new way to interact with their stakeholders: citizens, constituents, and communities, as well as the various arms of the administration and the business community.
